The Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction is a Pilates matwork industry entry-level qualification, allowing you to work autonomously within a defined range of practice, or under limited supervision. It is designed for those who operate in the Pilates Matwork environment and work with apparently healthy client groups.

The Certificate IV units of competency also form part of the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (91491NSW), and persons who have graduated with the Certificate IV receive direct credit for these units when enrolling in the higher level qualification.

The Certificate IV gives you the opportunity to:

• Instruct client Matwork and Small Apparatus sessions in: private or small group sessions; studio-semi-private and group matwork classes; health-centre/gymnasium group classes; home and corporate visits

• Integrated Repertoire 1
  

The Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction comprises 200 nominal hours and can be undertaken over 3-6 months, dependent upon part-time or full-time status and delivery mode.

Once successfully completed the student has the option to progress to the next level in Pilates Instruction and consequently the Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method course.

The Certificate IV will provide eligibility for full Matwork Membership with the professional industry regulatory body, the Pilates Alliance Australasia. The Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction will give immediate eligibility for full membership Level 1 with the professional industry regulatory body.
